Unz article a disgrace
Dear Sirs, Holly Yettick's Nov. 12 article on Ron Unz, "In plain English, Ron Unz opposes bilingual teaching," was a disgrace to the Rocky Mountain News. Rather than providing an objective view of the timely and controversial role that Unz has played in bilingual education, Yettick resorts to juvenile ad hominem statements, informing us that Unz is "dressed . . . in geek chic," has a "slightly oversized head," and a voice that can resemble "a pre-adolescent squeak." What, no facial blemishes or unsightly birthmarks? How on earth did this keen insight make it past your editors? P.R. Heyliger
