"Teachers Show the Way"

Dear Friends,

Here's a nice lead editorial in the LA Times. Considering that the Times (along with nearly every other major paper in the state) opposed Prop. 227, the claim that the initiative seems to be working so well because of a "flexible" interpretation by teachers---although incorrect---is quite understandable.

As I've said, I expect that within a couple of years it will be almost impossible to find a politician in California who'll admit having opposed Prop. 227---even though almost all of them did.
