Ron Unz: "Latino Children Deserve More Than Just Half an Education" Tuesday, March 2, 1999 Dear Friends, Here's an article of mine analyzing the recent Republican electoral disaster in California, and the political implications of ethnically-tinged issues such as immigration and bilingual education. The piece generated quite a bit of reaction and interest, and led the Republican National Committee to invite me to speak at their forthcoming Williamsburg retreat for Republican State leaders on strategies for enhancing the Republican appeal to immigrants and ethnic minority groups.
