To the Editor:

I am an immigrant to this country and mother of two kids. Really I don't know enough about the bilingual education, because I am from Egypt and I never heard about bilingual class contents of Arabic and English. But after I read the article in the newspaper I have my opinion about that. The English is very important language not just in the U. S.A but also in whole the world. About the bilingual class, I think it is basically depends on the teachers who teach in that class. If they teach them the English language with the right way besides the Spanish, I think that it will be more better. Children can know how to write and read the both of the two languages.

On my experience everything is going out very well to my children's studies and grades. Their learning so fast the English language and maybe their knowledge about this language could be their asset in the future. We are here, in United States so I think its logical to say that we and my kids have to learn how to read and write perfect English grammar. And doesn't mean that I turn my back on my Arabic heritage or language. As a parent it is my duty or responsibility to teach my kids how speak and write Arabic.

I hope with my idea with this issue, more parents and guardians could understand of what the bilingual and the English class can benefit their childrens education.

Truly yours,
