Dear Letter Editor,

I'm Billie Joe Bob, the Grand Poobah of the KKK in Borrego Springs. But I join my little brown Mexican allies in opposing Prop 226, which would eliminate bilingual education.

My three white sons ain't too bright (some tell me it's from too much family inbreeding, but my sister Ellie Mae says our sons are just fine). Danged if they ain't slow lerners in school though.

But at least the bilingual program keeps them bright little brown kids from catching up with my boys. My kin may be dumber, but at least we can read and rite English better than them Mexican kids being held down in the bilingual program.

We gotta keep the brown people from learning English. Bilingual education keeps them in their place. And ya know what's funny? - their leaders like it that way!

By the way, don't ya think my cousin Bill is doing grate work as President? He's on my side on this one. We kinfolk gotta stick together.
