LET ME point out an example of the skepticism and nihilism of the news media.

In the Sunday Sentinel a news item on page A-17 with the headline "Bilingual classes end, test scores rise" reported the average second-grade student's English score increased by 9 percentage points and the mathematics score increased 14 points.

Now the clincher. The last sentence stated, "It is too early to know how much the erasure of bilingual education contributed to the higher scores."

What if a murder report stated, "It is too early to know how much the bullet to the heart contributed to the death of the victim"?
