The Desert Sun Editor:

I am a student of Center of Employment Training in Indio. I read your article about the plan to end bilingual education in California. My opinion about taking the bilingual classes is it would be better if they end the bilingual education. But there is a problem if the bilingual education is no longer here in the United States or other part of the country. There are going to be students that are not going to learn english, because they don't talk english and neither understand it. I would perfer that the bilingual education would be no longer. Because of the bilingual education, I didn't learn better english or spanish. Yhere are some problems in teaching english and spanish at the same time. I think If I have gotten english education, I would know better english.

Some people say that bilingual education is better. I asked for some opinions about bilingual education and many people said that bilingual education is better than english, becau-se most of the times there are jobs that required both languages. In a job they need both, if they want to get a good job they have to speak both languages. Some people said that it was better if the bilingual education was no longer in schools.

Their are some children getting some troubles speaking english because they talk more spanish than english in their homes. If there wouldn't be bilingual education their kids would know better english. They would talk engli8h in school and spanish in their homes with their parents.

Sincerely
